Cookie Policy

Short version: we don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t use cross-site tracking or profiling. The data we store on your device is mostly to make the features you asked for work, plus a cookie-free analytics tool described below.
What we store on your device
- localStorage entriesfor your settling-in passport, saved events, saved guides, chat history with Lola Admin Pro, an anonymous payment ID, and a remember-flag for whether you’ve seen this cookie notice. None of this is transmitted unless you sign in or pay.
- sessionStorage for short-lived UI state (selected tab, scroll restoration), cleared when you close the tab.
- A service-worker cache if you install the PWA, used to provide offline access to previously-viewed pages.
Third-party cookies set when you pay
When you proceed to checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies on the Stripe-hosted checkout pages for fraud prevention. We do not control these; see Stripe’s policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy.
Analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-first analytics tool that doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t build a profile of you across sites. It tells us which pages get read and roughly how many people visit — aggregate numbers, not individual tracking.
If you arrive via a paid ad (for example a Google or Facebook campaign link), we briefly store the ad platform’s click reference in your browser’s session storage — cleared when you close the tab — so that if you go on to make a purchase, we can tell which campaign it came from. This never leaves your device except as part of a completed purchase, and nothing is shared with the ad platforms themselves.
What we don’t use
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No social-media share-tracking widgets.
- No Google Analytics or other profiling tools.
Clearing the data we store
You can clear all of this at any time by clearing site data for expatconnectvalencia.com in your browser’s settings, or by using your browser’s private/incognito mode.
