Sixteen contemporary art galleries across Valencia open their doors together on the same evening, free and with no ticket or booking. You can walk in, look around, walk out and try the next one. It is one of the easiest evenings of the year to see a lot of the city quickly, and one of the few art events where nobody expects you to know anything about art. This is the opening night of Abierto Valencia, which runs 17-25 September and is organised by LAVAC, the contemporary art gallery association of the Valencian Community.
